Caribe Sur School is a non-profit educational center located in Playa Chiquita, Costa Rica. We are dedicated to providing high-quality education to the children of our community. We believe in the power of education as a fundamental tool for the development and growth of our students and their environment.
However, we face an important challenge: the nearest library is more than two and a half hours away by public bus, which greatly limits access to essential educational resources. In addition, there is currently no technology center where our students and children from the community can learn through hands-on experiences.
For this reason, we are working on the creation of a Community Library and Technology Center that will benefit both our school and neighboring communities, from Manzanillo to Cahuita.
This project will transform access to education, literacy, and technological skills, providing new learning opportunities for children, students, and community members throughout the region.
Computer Lab
Caribe Sur School, accredited by the Costa Rican Ministry of Public Education (MEP) and managed as a non-profit by families from Playa Chiquita and Punta Uva, is raising funds to create its first Computer Lab.
This space will allow our students to learn programming, design, robotics, and digital tools, strengthening their academic education and expanding their opportunities for the future.
In our South Caribbean community, many children do not have access to a computer at home. For this reason, this project aims to reduce the digital divide and provide equal opportunities through education.
